Why mill instead of paving over the top

Overlaying without milling raises the whole surface. That means water now sits against your garage slab, curbs get shallower, drain grates end up below grade, and door thresholds stop working. Milling removes exactly what the new layer replaces so everything stays where it belongs.

Getting the depth right

Too shallow and you leave failing material in place. Too deep and you're into the base and the job just got bigger. We set depth to the condition of the surface and what's going back on top.

Cleanup and recycling

Milling is loud and dusty — no way around that. What we can control is the site. Millings are hauled off and recycled, and we sweep down before we leave. Reclaimed millings are also a genuinely good, low-cost surface for rural driveways and lanes if that's what you're after.
