Freshly paved private lane winding through a wooded New Jersey property

Private Roads & Lanes

Private Road & Shared Driveway Paving in NJ

Private roads sit in an awkward spot — the town doesn't maintain them, but they carry real traffic. We pave and rebuild private lanes, shared driveways and association roads across northern New Jersey, including the phasing and access planning that comes with keeping residents moving.

Long driveways and shared lanes

Rural and wooded lots often have hundreds of feet of driveway. We handle full asphalt surfacing as well as compacted millings, which is a durable and considerably cheaper option for a long lane.

HOA and association roads

We're used to working with boards and property managers: written scopes that a committee can actually evaluate, phasing so residents always have access, and clear notice of what's closed when.

Drainage on private roads

Private roads are where drainage gets neglected, because there's no municipal crew watching it. Culverts and ditch lines silt up, water starts running down the travel surface, and the road unravels. We look at the whole run, not just the paving.

Common questions

Yes. We phase private road work so there's always a route in and out, and we give notice of what's closed and when.

Asphalt looks better and lasts longer. Compacted millings cost considerably less and hold up well on a rural lane. It's a budget and appearance decision — both are legitimate.

Regularly. We can provide the kind of written scope and pricing that a board needs to make a decision.
